Process shots of sculpting the character Death’s headdress and hands using fosshape.
I sculpted this headdress by braising steel braising rods onto a steel wire base.
This was my first role in theatrical makeup design, and every run of the program was entirely in greyscale. I did so much character analysis for this, I imagined what the facial features would look like and sought to impress the character through makeup. I painted the performers with water-based body paint, airbrushed and then detailed by hand. Every person who took part in this was phenomenal. It was so difficult, but I loved every moment.
