This was so special to have been a part of. It was such an immersive endeavor, and we got the illusive “more time” which many artists which they had, at a time which was perfect for that kind of thing. Julianne developed such a brilliant and genuine concept for the room that played to my childhood living in old New Orleans houses, and to my mother’s aviary obsessions… Myself and Anne helped her bring her visions to life at Lady Paradise Studio. The processes were to create feather/leafs and paint and glitter them and to explore composition within the space. We gave ordinary objects and ‘trash’ psychedelic makeovers, and treated them with light to wow the viewer.
